Cafe 13 Main Street Grill, located along the Grand River at the corner of Water and Main Streets, in the historic downtown core of Galt, Cambridge hosts this hidden pleasure to be discovered by all.

Housed in an original bank building dating back to 1893, Cafe 13 has been a fixture in this community since 1980, offering an alternative to the prevalent roadhouse and sports bar settings of today.

Upon entering and approaching the 141 year old bar from Philadelphia; to being seated by the impressive stained glass peacock in the dining room, Cafe 13 offers a charm, unique to its settings and surroundings.

In addition to the darkly wooded main dining area is a second floor featuring The Galt Club, an impressive separate dining room and bar area ideal for hosting private functions of all styles.

-About our Chef

“Sincerity in food” is Chef Michael Boyd’s chief principle in the kitchen. Curiosity, hard work and passion has led Mike through 13 years of experience. Ranging from his first job as a dishwasher at an Indian/British Pub to a tournant at Langdon Hall where he credits the bulk of his learning. It was after his 2 years of studying at the Stratford Chef’s School that Michael began to appreciate how strong of a connection food has to a community.

Michael sees Cambridge as a relatively young and untapped culinary culture. “we have a people that appreciate good portions and sustenance, but we also have people with curious palettes looking to explore new foods and concepts”. This is where Michael believes Café 13 is the perfect place for Cambridge and a perfect canvas for his cuisine, comfortable and approachable, yet escaping the ordinary. With a firm belief that supporting the local producers is key, Café 13 and Michael have forged great relationships with local brewers and farmers. “Whether people notice it or not, if there is sincerity from the soil to the dinner table, the experience will always be a great one”
